  • Employer Correspondence: Due to unforeseen mailing delays as a result of Covid19, we encourage employers to utilize the Employer Self Service portal on UInv. While the Department works to resolve these delays, we will give consideration to impending Adjudication and Appeals timelines. The Department asks for Employers to make their best effort to provide the required unemployment information.
  • Employer Charging: Please note, the 1st quarter 2020 Contributory Charge Statements and Reimbursable Billing Statements scheduled for mailing beginning May 22, 2020 will only be available through the online Employer Self Service (ESS) system. Employers may now view online Contributory Charge Statements and Reimbursable Billing Statements by logging into their ESS account. DETR is exploring options to provide relief of charges as outlined in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. • Having trouble getting your employees to return to work? As employers begin reopening their doors to a “new normal”, in compliance with the Nevada Roadmap to Recovery requirements, many employees are expected to return to their previous employment. Nevada law prohibits individuals from receiving unemployment benefits if they refuse to accept offers of suitable work, or quit work, without good cause. In anticipation of an influx in refusal of work issues we have established a plan to address this concern. Employers wanting to provide information regarding employees who are not returning to the workplace should email our Business Service Office at JOBBANKMPKWY@detr.nv.gov with the subject line “Work Refusals” and include: employer information - name, address, employer account number and contact person; full name and the last 4 of the SSN of the employee; date the employee was contacted and advised of a return to work date; and reason employee gave for not being able to return to work.
